Barbecue dinner Blackmer Masonic Lodge in Weaverville will be the site of a barbecue
dinner from 4 pm to 7 pm on May 1. Pork barbecue or barbecue chicken, along with baked beans, cole slaw, bread, drinks and desert will be served. Plates are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Wally Capps and Zane Cole are sponsoring the dinner. T e lodge is located at 17 S. College St.
Garden club rummage sale T e Weaverville Garden Club will have a rummage sale from 8:30 am
to 1 pm on May 1 at the Weaverville United Methodist Church fellowship hall at 90 N. Main St. Plants, baked goods, clothes and slightly used items will be available. Donations will be accepted from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on April 30. Proceeds will benefi t beautifi cation projects.

honeymooned in Jamaica, they have made their home in Asheville.
