NBHS/WCU Pressley switches positions

Dennis Wagner announced that Pressley will be making the switch to defense, competing for a spot among the linebacker corps. Wagner envisions Pressley, who
redshirted the 2009 season and will enter the upcoming season with four seasons of eligibility remaining, as a hybrid “drop” linebacker position va- cated by Chris Collins. “Randy wants to play. He stands
out as a great athlete and this will give him an opportunity to compete for time on the field,” Wagner said in a statement. Pressley turned down several Divi-
sion I offers to compete for the quar- terback spot for the Catamounts. Pressley was a two-year starter for
the BlackHawks in 2007 and 2008, amassing more than 6,000 yards in total offense and 58 touchdowns, running and passing. He was the 2008 Mountain Athletic Conference

On Sunday (March 21), the Lazy K Ranch in Barnardsville hosted a benefit horse show for Larry Elliott, a local farrier who recently suffered an injury. Lazy K reported a large turnout. Leicester Leader reporter Catherine Hunter judged the competition.
