mobile veterinarians have decid- ed to open a Weaverville office to round out the animal medical care they provide. Appalachian Animal Hospital
opened in March at 68 N. Main St. in Weaverville. Dr. Ann Stuart, Dr. Ted Wright
and Dr. Karen Reynolds are the three primary veterinarians. Ap- palachian Animal Hospital has been serving the North Bun- combe area for 20 years, making house calls for both small and large animals. The hospital’s home on Main
Street will allow the team to treat the smaller animals they may have previously diagnosed during an in-home visit and referred to another animal hospital. “Now we can take complete
care of them,” Stuart said of small animals, such as cats and dogs. Appalachian Animal Hospital
will still make house calls, espe- cially for the larger animals they provide care for, including horses, llamas, sheep and goats. The hospital is open from 8 am
