PASTOR TERRY PAYNE, a native of Detroit Michigan, is founder and Senior Pastor of Temple of Praise Worship Center International (TPWCI) and Founder of ‘Who I Am’ Ministries in Riverview, Florida. Pastor Terri Flores-Payne is a native of Colorado Springs Colorado, who grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and is the Co-Pastor of TPWCI and leads the psalmist ministry.
In 2005, Pastor Payne received the vision for Temple of Praise Worship Center International. Realizing people were starving for God to move in their lives and in their place of worship they opened the doors of TPWCI on August 14, 2005. Pastor Payne’s practical approach to teaching the Bible encourages all Christians to pursue a personal relationship with God.
Tese pastor’s have shared over 16 years of marriage and have two daughters, Terika and Terin. Tey are committed to teaching others to express their love for God through an act of praise, literally changing the way they praise forever. IKE OKEKE was born in South Eastern Nigeria to parents who are both educators. He attended high school at Agulu, Nige- ria and earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1988 from the University Of Nigeria Nsukka. Upon graduation, Ike was employed by the international pharmaceutical company, Bristol Myers Squibb. While there, Ike was afforded the opportunity to travel extensively outside of Nigeria. While on visits to Washington, DC, Ike decided to make the United States his home.
Ike lived in Boston, MA briefly before relocating to Lakeland, Florida in 1993. He continued his pharmaceutical ambitions by working for well-known corporations such as Eckerds, Walgreens and Kmart. Ike’s entrepreneurial drive positioned him to open his own pharmacy, Superior Pharmacy in 2004 and has since been expanded to a medical center, featuring a pharmacy and clinic.
Ike’s social conscieousness weighs heavily with two concerns; the youth of today and a disconnect between Africans and African Americans, and his vision is to accept the challenge and work with both to build a stronger community. Professionally, Ike’s en- courages everyone to exercise daily, eat responsibly especially nutritious foods in order to avoid chronic diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, blood pressure and others.
Ike resides in Tampa with his lovely wife, Yvonne Okeke and they are blessed with three children, Emy, Gozy and Onyeka.
