ESTRELLITA “LO” BERRY, M.A, serves as President & CEO of REACHUP, Inc. a non-profit agency whose mission is to advocate for and mobilize resources to build community capacity to achieve equality in healthcare and positive health for families.


Additionally she serves as the President of the National Healthy Start Association Board of Directors. NHSA’s constituency consists of 102 Federal Healthy Start sites across the country that helps make a difference in the lives of our neediest children.


Lo is the Project Director and Principal Investigator for Central Hillsborough Healthy Start and Closing the Gap Projects. She serves on the Boards of Hillsborough County Healthy Start Coalition, and March of Dimes, Florida Bay Division. In 2005 Lo assisted in championing Florida Legislation HB1269 creating a statewide practice collaborative to examine racial disparities and infant mortality, Te Black Infant Health Practice Initiative (BIHPI). Lo has co-authored numerous publications with the latest two (2) in 2009, “Risk Factors for Major Antenatal Depression among Low Income Africa American Women” (Journal of Women’s Health) and “Evaluation of Program Effectiveness” (Maternal and Child Health Journal).


Lo received her undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology and Masters in Education and Community Counseling at the University of Evansville, Evansville Indiana. She is a wife of 32 years and mother to a 29 year old son.

ELAYNE DORSEY, interim CEO and chief operating officer for the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF), is fulfilling a life-long passion for youth development and the advancement of women in leadership roles. She is sought after as an expert in organizational analysis, building capacity for change, leadership programs, strategic planning and training.


For over 20 years, she has worked advancing youth-adult partnerships, community collaborations and youth leadership development. Before joining GSWCF Elayne was an independent consultant whose client base included the Kellogg Foundation (Battle Creek, Michigan), the Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development (Washington, D.C. area) and several Girl Scout councils across the country.


A native Floridian, Elayne holds a B.A. in communications and advertising from Florida State University and has received numerous certifications and awards from Girl Scouts of the USA. She is an active member of the Girl Scouts’


national professional organization for executive staff. Elayne is passionate about her community and is involved with her church and a broad range of volunteer organizations. She currently resides in Sarasota, Florida, where she enjoys cook-

A business man, born, reared, and educated in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Canty is a product of the Hillsborough County School system; continued his formal education at the University of South Florida (USF). Mr. Canty earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate and served his country as a supply officer in the US Army. After returning from the military he earned a master’s degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation (again from University of South Florida). While earning his master’s degree Mr. Canty became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and was very active in his union, eventually being elected president of his Teamsters Local Union before going into private practice.


Mr. Canty credits his unique experience, education, and style in establishing his well respected and successful financial service practice. Lenzo R. Canty, CPA, specializes in accounting, tax preparation, tax planning, and retirement strategies. Lenzo R. Canty, CPA is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). Mr. Canty is married to Sharon Fields Canty and they reside in Tampa and are members of Te Word of Reconciliation church. Tey have two sons and three grandchildren. Most of Mr. Canty’s clients are just like him; people wanting to succeed in business, minimize their taxes, grow assets, and plan for an enjoyable and successful retirement. His business is located on the corner of 30th and Annie St. (One traffic light north of Busch Blvd. on 30th Street).
