on maximizing one’s efforts will be offered in a special workshop, The Healing Power of the Garden, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., July 25, at the Happehatchee Eco Center, in Estero. Organic gardening expert Brent Knoll and special guest C.A. Human, a holistic
H
wellness specialist and author of A Lifestyle Worth Living, will be featured speakers at the event. Knoll explains his passion for gardening: “When we plant our intentions in the
form of a seed and something comes of it, we grow as well. Gardens are one of the most powerful ways to connect with nature and the energy that sustains us. Planting, cultivating and nurturing a garden requires knowledge and compassion or love for another living thing that in return will provide you with a sense of accomplishment, empowerment and a deeper connection with the food that you eat.”
Suggested donation: $20. Location: 8791 Corkscrew Road. RSVP via Generation-
Awareness.org or call 239-398-9123.
Rebirthing Breathwork Sessions
is now offering two-hour, private and group rebirthing sessions in Naples, including a series of guided, gentle breathing exercises practiced lying down, plus before- and-after discussions.
N A growing body of evidence attests that the effect and impact of breathing on
our mind and body goes deeper than meditation; that it is a way to control and release our emotions. Rebirthing is the process of restoring mind-body balance and liberating locked up memories and energies that have been trapped or stuck, due to brief acts of holding one’s breath or breathing irregularities caused by traumatic experiences. Simakina says, “Rebirthing-breathwork techniques release energy restrictions
and tension, rejuvenating once-stagnant areas of the body. Improving and harness- ing the power of breathing can be the healing bridge between the conscious and unconscious to attain higher levels of health.”
