NEW PRODUCT FAMILY
An ever increasing number of aircraft means increasing requirements for MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) activities, which in itself leads to an increased requirement for the production of test benches. The pressure on price and the necessity of reducing lead times (time to market), no longer allows one-off, special to type (customer) solutions to be made, with their one-off development costs, longer lead time and risks being borne by one customer. Test-Fuchs has decided, that the solution to these problems is that suppliers of test benches must be able to offer simple to operate Universal off the shelf solutions with modular design for all requirements, e.g. technical, operational and legislative so that customers worldwide can use these test benches, for all aircraft types` components, national regulations, educational level of the operators and their language. The goal of developing modular hydraulic test benches is to test various aircraft’s hydraulic components more cheaply, rapidly and in an environmentally friendly manner. An affordable price can only be achieved by low cost production and reduced operating costs, i.e. time saving by optimising each module into product groups of aircraft components e.g. actuators.
Efficient fault diagnosis contributes to
environment protection by reducing operating time. This is achieved by use of an embedded simulation model. In addition a cost-effective state of the art MCRS (Measurement, Control and Regulation System) module has been designed for these modular test stands.
The modular design of the test bench enables testing a
combination of different
components according to requirement.
For example a single modular holding fixture with a 350 bar system pressure for A380 and B787 components ensures an easy, quick and safe change of the aircraft components tested. By use of dynamic test stations for modern actuators with complex control systems, both hydraulic actuators with their high loading and electric actuators with their higher dynamics can be tested using a single modular holding fixture. By accomplishing their aims, i.e. testing rationalisation, Test-Fuchs has achieved an important technological and financial advance in the development of hydraulic test benches. As a consequence, the product family “Modular Hydraulic Test Benches” will be brought to market for all hydraulic areas requiring testing.
NOW WITH USB OUTPUT OPTION
FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. (FUTEK) has announced a new addition to their USB Sensor Solutions Line.
FUTEK is now offering their LTH350 Donut/Thru hole Load Cell with a USB output option. The LTH350 Donut Load Cell is also part of FUTEK’s Miniature Load Cell Series Line. FUTEK specialises in providing miniature solutions such as the LLB350 for applications where space is limited. This particular miniature donut load cell is perfect for press and inline compression applications.
