What is Christmas?
It is a tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal,
and that every path may lead to peace.

Te annual Christmas Drive once again filled the halls of Benet with two weeks of various festivities to promote the Christmas spirit. Every year multiple families and charity organizations rely on the collective compassion of the Benet family to provide for them during the holiday season. Money was raised through time-honored, classic events such as Penny Wars (once again the seniors far outdistanced their rivals), Indentured Elves, Candy-Gram sales and Candy-Cane Elves along with the addition of theme days, a Mothers Club sponsored breakfast, and countless other small events. Also, toys were collected by the National Honor Society for a local charity, Sharing Connections., and the Marians filled and delivered 68 Christmas stockings to children in Aurora
One highlight of the Christmas Drive is the annual Shopping Day for local families and charities. Over 300 students and eleven faculty members gathered on a cold Saturday morning for a prayer service before heading out to local stores with their shopping lists. After shopping, some marathon gift wrapping and lunch, gifts were cheerfully delivered by the students and faculty to the selected charities and 43 local families.
Te Christmas Drive is a coordinated effort by Student Government, National Honor Society, Outreach, faculty and staff.
