Daikin Wins Prestigious International Design Award
Daikin Europe NV
has won an IF Product Design Award for its recently introduced ‘Emura’ design led heat pump room air conditioning fan coil unit. Now in its 56th year, the prestigious IF Product Design Award, organised by International Forum Design GmbH, is one of the best known international design competitions. The award to Daikin for 2010 comes within the ‘Buildings’ category and took account of Emura’s design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, functionality, innovation, environmental consciousness, ergonomics and safety features.

Promat Protects Dublin Airport’s New Terminal 2
Hydropath, manufacturers of water conditioners for removing and preventing the build-up of limescale in pipes, has launched a new extended range of products aimed at the UK commercial sector. The firm has revised its Hydroflow ‘C’ range and extend it from five to seven models. As well as revising and rebranding its existing models, the range now features three new units, the C50, C65 and C125, which means that the comprehensive range now covers pipe sizes ranging from 32 mm up to 125 mm DN. The Hydroflow range of water conditioning products has been proven around the world for the removal and prevention of limescale build up in pipes. Hydropath’s products feature patented electronic technology to tackle encrusting limescale in pipes. Hydropath first launched its commercial range of water conditioners in 1992.

RadioLINK Professional was developed for use with Aico domestic fire alarms, allowing devices to communicate with each other via Radio Frequency signals, rather than hard wiring, which is time consuming and disruptive to retro fit.
