We love Cumbrian food and we love coo- king – that is why we set up our local food website artisan-food.com four years ago. Last year we won national recognition for our ef- forts by becoming runners-up in the Media Guardian Innovation Awards. This year, we are taking Artisan-food to the next level, by launching the new e- magazine you are now reading. This is a magazine for foodies. The aim is simple: We want to focus very much on Cumbria’s food producers, understanding the nature and va- lue of their work in our county, and cooking with and enjoying the produce they offer. And to bring it all to life we are using video throughout the magazine. We hope you like the magazine, and what

we are trying to do. If so, please share the link with your foodie friends and collea- gues, and together we can spread the word about the fantastic food produced by the truly extraordinary producers of Cumbria.
