More beautification work for post office
On Friday (Oct. 23), Asheville GreenWorks volunteers will do a beautification project at the Weaverville Post
Office.
Students from the New Classical Academy will meet at 10 am to plant masses of daffodil bulbs. As part of the
Teen Club at the Academy, the sixth, seventh and eighth graders do a service learning project each month.
The effort follows the planting of several trees in front of the post office. Students from North Buncombe High
School participated in that project.
To volunteer as an individual or to bring a group for Asheville GreenWorks projects, call 254-1776 or email
volunteer@ashevillegreenworks.org. There are opportunities to do litter walks, tree plantings, plantings of flowers,
graffiti removal and more.
