At MES we have our own range of tuned percussion produced exclusively for us, which offers
fantastic quality for some of the best prices. These cover the whole range of chime bars,
glockenspiels, xylophones and metallophones.
The chime bars are available with plastic bodies and aluminium bars as a
great budget option or with high quality wooden bodies and
alloy bars. Each comes with its own beater.
The range of glockenspiels offers a variety of price
points, most being fantastic for space saving and
storage.
Xylophones and metallophones offer an exceptionally good sound and durability for their
price with bar holders, beater holders and a stand available.
Sonor are one of the leading
manufacturers of tuned percussion.
Their instruments are crafted in
Germany using the best in modern
technology and technical accuracy. Their brand is a sign of high quality in both sound
and workmanship.
They collaborate closely with leading educators, focussing on practical issues
for continual improvements.
You can choose from their primary range, suitable as a starting point for sets
for classroom use and their performance range which is more suited to school
performances and use with KS2 and KS3.
We also have Sonor’s selection of Deep Bass bars. These are available in a range
of materials, each producing an amazing, resonating sound.
Studio 49 are another German
manufacturer whose instruments are
made to the highest quality. They
offer a variety of ranges to suit different needs, all with the assurance of perfect and
permanent tuning.
Series 500 - a great starting point for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, tuned to the
pentatonic scale and smaller in size to help younger children play.
Series 1000 - ideal for primary children and great for space saving as they are
compact and easy to transport.
Series 1600 - best suited to Key Stage 2 and for use in performances and music
lessons. The bars are of the highest quality.
Suzuki is a family owned company who
have been producing musical instruments
for nearly 60 years. One of their main
objectives is to meet the
requirements of
the education market. They aim for the high quality of more expensive
instruments.
Suzuki xylophones are made from perfectly tuned and balanced rosewood
bars. They are light and easy to transport with practical features such as
bar holders, mallet storage and strong bar holders.
