words Hamish Stuart
Powerboating returned to the
Welsh coasts this year thanks
to some believers who decided
to take part in a boat called Mr
Daydream.
Boat shop owner Andy Musgrave wanted
to get the Formula 4 series back in Pwllheli
after a six year gap, then decided to race in
the event he was sponsoring and has since
gone on to compete all round Britain.
It is a progression Victor Kiam would
be proud of, the original idea of gaining
some publicity for the sport spiralling into
sponsorship and competition – if stopping
just short of ‘liking it so much, I bought the
company’.
