Steven O’Connor joins his sister Kath, as
part of the Golf School set up and will be
undertaking for a Sports Coaching and
Development degree. Playing off 1 he has
played for Welsh U16 and was a ﬁ nalist at the
Daily Telegraph Junior Championships in Abu
Dhabi.
Our current scholarship recipients have
continued to make excellent progress over the
past year under the tutelage of Golf Director
Stuart Morgan.
Kath O’Connor has represented Wales in
Portugal as well as being in Abu Dhabi for the
Daily Telegraph ﬁ nals and has also been part
of the Welsh Senior squad for warm weather
training. She recently came 3rd in the British Steven O'Connor
Universities ﬁ nals.
Chris O’Neill, Michael Round and Dan Farmer
have all been selected to be part of the British
Universities Squad for the forthcoming Home
Internationals, and Indra Dhaon has had
positive results from his recent tournaments.
While the allocation for scholarships has been
completed for the 2009-2010 academic year we
are always on the look out for other talented
golfers who would like to be part of the
Newport School of Golf. Anyone interested
in ﬁ nding out more about the golf school

partnership with The Celtic Manor Resort and
the players are able to enjoy the magniﬁ cant
facilities for playing, training and practice.
