The Starline Monoblock, manufactured
by Starline Pools & Equipment in Holland,
is everything but the perception of a
‘cheap’ fibreglass option. The pools are
made of fibreglass reinforced vinylester a
material used in the construction of
aircrafts and boats as it provides especially
strong, stable and durable structures. The
Monoblock is built using a sandwich
method and consists of five layers
including insulation.
The Starline Monoblock, although
available in Europe for 15 years, has only
been available on the UK market since
2000. Its pre-installed fittings, pipe work
and optional extras are factory sealed,
pressure tested and guaranteed before the
pool arrives on site.
It is supplied plumbed and ready for
pipe-work and filtration connection. All the

Installation is therefore far less messy than
a standard pool build.
The pool includes the automatic Starline
Roldeck slatted cover. The roller
mechanism is hidden in a Roldeck pit,
under the pool surround. This makes it
invisible until it unrolls onto the pool.
The Roldeck is stored out of sight and
the space surrounding the Monoblock is
unobstructed.

Compass Pools have introduced a new
range of self cleaning pools with an
integrated safety / heat retention Rollo
cover. There are two shapes of pool with
three sizes ranging from 9 to 12 metres
in length.
These pools are part of the XL range and
have a high water level (small freeboard).
Selwyn Mindell of Compass Pools said:
”We are still very busy with enquiries for
these pools as they are the top end
because of the self cleaning system and
now with the integrated cover we have
been inundated with interest from the
trade. This Rollo cover as an addition is an
important development for us and one we
are very excited about.
