DEEP IN THE HEART of a classic Alberta
winter (minus 30 degrees anyone?), Ultimate is
still alive and well in Calgary. Our winter league
kicked off on January 4 after a successful draft
night in December fielded 10 hat teams. Lots
of new faces and developing players out there
this year – which is great to see! We’ll get our
Ultimate fix on indoor turf throughout January,
February, and into March before nicer weather

some leadership, vision
and organization to our
developing juniors program.
Last year was the first time
in a long time that Calgary
fielded a Juniors team at
Nationals, so we’re hoping
to build on that fresh start
and continue to reach a
new generation of Calgary
Ultimate players.
