support of vendors and friends, she has been able to build up her
business and make a name for herself on the West Coast.
Recently joining the staff here at Showbiz, she is excited about
this new position. “I like the magazine myself,” she states, explain-
ing why she made her decision. She brings eagerness to experi-
ment, lend her eye to the publication and is excited to be able “to
put pictures together with a story.”
When asked what she believes she will contribute to the maga-
zine, she did not hesitate. “Creativity. The horse industry desper-
ately needs more creativity.” Her reasoning is especially relevant in
today’s equine world, and it is clear that the industry needs to get
back to its roots while planning for the future and shaping itself
to modern demands. In such a tradition-bound sport, it is difficult
to step away from boundaries, but Jennifer Muncy is definitely not
afraid of doing so.
To her, there is “nothing better” than finding that perfect shot
that tells a story. Whether it is a story of victory, camaraderie or
love, her photographs tell it boldly, yet still have subtle undertones
that hint at a deeper meaning which keep viewers lingering upon
them.
Ultimately, she hopes to “bring more of a fine art eye into the

equestrian world.” Those little details can make all the difference.
