GIRLS REPRESENT WESTERN REGION AT NSW CHS ALL SCHOOLS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Chloe Kitchingman and Laura Cummings travelled to Wyong on the NSW Central Coast last term to compete as part of the Western Region Secondary Schools Golf Team.
The event was hosted by Sydney North and held at Kooindah Waters and Wyong Golf Clubs. After rain leading up to the week, the courses were pretty wet and solid rain on the first day of the event meant an abandonment of play after the girls had completed about 4 holes. Unfortunately it meant an afternoon shopping for them at Tuggerah Lakes!
The second day at Kooindah Waters and following days at Wyong were very challenging due to the conditions and the amount of water on the courses. It was a valuable experience for the girls, both representing Western for the second time. With Claire completing her HSC this makes it her last opportunity to take part in regional representation but Laura has some years to come. The Western girls performed well but found it hard to match some of the Sydney regions.
Congratulations girls on being fine representatives of both Cowra High School and Western Region.
