COWRA HIGH SCHOOL NEWSLETTER LATTITUDE GLOBAL VOLUNTEERING


Lattitude Global Volunteering will be holding an information session in Orange on Wednesday 23 May for interested students & their family members to find out more about volunteering in 2013 ~ they have a wide range of unique & rewarding placements available in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia/ Pacific.


Lattitude staff will provide an overview of our international volunteering program and the comprehensive support we provide to each volunteer & their family. Returned volunteers and parents


returned volunteers will share their experience and be available to answer any questions or for an informal chat.


Students are encouraged to register their interest to attend at www.lattitude.org.au.


Our application deadline for the majority of our placements is Friday 22 June. Interviews will then be conducted in Orange in July ~ further details will be forwarded to each applicant closer to the time. For more information call 03 9826 6266.

MUSICAL NEWS


Thank you to all the wonderful, talented & dedicated students who are participating in the School Musical. We had a very enthusiastic response to the auditions and there are now over 70 students who are involved. All the students & staff have been working very hard (and having fun) to make sure it will be a very polished affair. In Term 2 the number of weekly rehearsals will have to increase to make sure we put the final touches on. It is very important that all students attend every rehearsal. I know there will be occasions when that is not possible but they must let a member of the CAPA department know if they cannot attend. I have included a rehearsal schedule for your information.


Monday ~ 3.15am - 4.30pm Singers, actors, musicians & crew


Tuesday ~ 1.35pm - 2.15pm Musicians


Tuesday ~ 3.15pm - 4pm Actors & singers from Week 4 onwards


Wednesday ~ 2pm - 4pm Dancers


Thursday ~ 1.35pm - 2.15pm Musicians


As the performance dates get closer there will have to be some weekend rehearsals but you will be given plenty of notice of these. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the show.

WESTERN AREA CROSS COUNTRY


Area trials will be held on Wednesday 13 June at the Wellington Racecourse. Walk the course will commence at 9.30am.
