Product launches, seminars, forums, workshops and networking: a
round-up of key events taking place during Business Travel Week
L50552
The Business Travel Show will have
a 47-session strong Conference Programme this
year – the biggest in the event’s 15-year history.
Conference faces
The programme features seven keynote speakers
including HRG chief executive David Radcliffe
and ITM chair Caroline Strachan (see p34).
The programme also features panel debates,
the future of travel
case studies, discussion groups, seminars,
workshops and training.
The theme of the show will be the potential
impact of the current economic climate on the
business travel industry.
David Chapple, Business Travel Show event
director, said: “This year’s conference programme
is our most comprehensive yet. More than 7,000
visitors attend the Business Travel Show.
Some will represent global corporates, others
50-strong SMEs. Some book meetings while
others focus solely on travel.
“As a result, they all have unique knowledge
requirements and that’s why our programme is
designed to be diverse enough to reflect and
meet their needs.”
The main seminar programme follows five
streams for 2009: a core business travel stream
plus a further four that tie in to the event’s
online, meetings, corporate social responsibility
and technology showcases. A new feature for
2009 is the SME training stream hosted by
Graeme Payne, director of Travel Talk, and the
Corporate Travel Partnership’s Robert Daykin.
