Fam trip report
Stroke of good lux
Roving Reader Jean Heymann, from Reigate Travel, checked out a range of
resorts and hotels during a Sunset Faraway Holidays luxury fam trip to Mauritius
W
e flew overnight on Air
Mauritius and arrived to a
warm welcome before heading
to the newly refurbished Les
Pavillions swathed in flower garlands.
With a great location and a fresh, new feel
to the rooms, this lovely new Naiade resort
had a homely feel and was well received by
the whole group.
The rooms were well-equipped, with
flatscreen televisions and nice flip flops by
your bed. And although there was a lack of
choice at the evening buffet, I loved this
hotel and would sell it to a couple or family.
The following day, a relaxing catamaran
cruise highlighted the beauty of the
coastline and showed us that Mauritius
offers more than just beaches.
Then we moved on to Sugar Beach Hotel,
which offers fantastic food and a great gym.
This is one of the best family hotels on the
island, with a good programme of activities
for kids and teenagers alike.
The following day, it was off to The Grand
Mauritian, the newest property on the island.
It’s a Luxury Collection hotel, and we were
elated to be treated to a drink and a relaxing
massage in the impressive new Mandara spa.
The rooms were wonderful and overlooked
