The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylva-
nia School of Medicine seeks highly qualified applicants for an endowed chair in Biostatistics (originally held by
Professor Raymond Carroll), with a joint appointment in the Wharton Department of Statistics.
This endowed chair offers a faculty appointment as full Professor with tenure, with major institutional salary sup-
port, to be supplemented by funds from a mix of teaching, methodology grant and minimal collaborative grant
support. Applicants for the endowed chair will be expected to have international prominence, with a superior
publication record reflecting important methodological research, as well as applications and collaborations.
The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, jointly with the Department of Statistics in the Wharton
School, offers degree programs leading to both the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MS) in
Biostatistics.
