Expect some serious sightseeing. A rich history has filled Barcelona
with landmark buildings and world-class museums, including Gaudí's
famed Sagrada Família, the Museu Picasso, a Gothic cathedral,
and Las Ramblas - the grand, tree-lined promenade cutting through
the heart of the Old Town.
SHOPPING
Big-name boutiques, shiny speciality stores, fascinating markets,
and modern malls – Barcelona makes for some great shopping.
The elegant Passeig de Gràcia contains some of the most expensive
retail space in Spain, while the Old Town is where to find one-off
retailers. Almost all stores close on Sundays.
GETTING AROUND
Bag a bargain with the Barcelona Card, sold at tourist offices.
