CLIMATE: Kuala Lumpur has an equatorial climate with warm,
humid temperatures year round. Rainfall is variable and
falls all year round. It is rare for rain to fall all day; it
usually confines itself to short-lived downpours in the
afternoons. The driest months tend to be June and July.

CULTURE
Most of Kuala Lumpur's gorgeous historic sights are in and around
Merdeka Square and Jalan Hishamuddin, while many of the
gardens, parks and museums are out at Lake Gardens. The Golden
Triangle, northeast of the city centre, is where to shop, shop, shop,
marvel at the Petronas Twin Towers, or party ‘til dawn.
SHOPPING
Love shopping? You’ll fall for Kuala Lumpur if you head to the major
shopping malls in and around Bukit Bintang and Sultan Ismail.
For something exciting and unique, track down a pasar malam –
a brightly lit night market selling more than you can imagine.
GETTING AROUND
While taxis and buses are cheap, they can be unreliable. Most
travellers prefer the fast and frequent Light Rail (LRT), and the Kuala
Lumpur Monorail which gives good access through the main hotel
and shopping areas, including Bukit Bintang.
