ENTERING A NEW ERA

Combining companies from the exploration and production side of conventional oil & gas energy resources as well as those from the renewable part of the energy mix – such as offshore wind and marine energy – is the ambition of the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC). On 25 and 26 October 2016

T

Amsterdam RAI will again host the international gathering of the whole offshore energy industry, where exhibitors and visitors can meet more than 11,500 professionals, from engineering to sales, from procurement to finance and from project management to executive management. New this year will be the kick-off, the Offshore Energy Opening Gala Dinner, which will be held on 24 October from 18:30, where the Offshore Energy Awards will also be presented. Iran is currently the place to be. As

sanctions have been lifted, Iran has become a hot topic within the offshore energy industry. The country boasts 70% of the world’s total oil reservoirs and 40% of the world’s gas resources. Furthermore, Iran holds the largest hydrocarbon reservoirs in the world and

he current oil prices and the rise of renewables will see the industry entering a new era.

9.3% of the world’s total gas reserves, making the country the alternative gas-supplier to Europe. To tap this potential, a large investment of around US$185 billion is required within the next five years, to allow for fleet renovation, already announced by the Iranian government, as well as technological innovation and solutions. The OEEC is proud to

announce the cooperation with CBC and as such the development of the Iran Pavilion as well as the technical conference sessions focused on Iran.

CONFERENCE IN DETAIL The extensive conference programme, themed ‘Entering a new era’ will cover topics such as subsea processing & infrastructure, decommissioning, knowledge management, asset integrity, supply chain optimisation and LNG. It will be led by expert speakers and moderators. Aside from this, the keynotes, the Industry Panel and the Human Capital Panel will be back again this year. The Offshore Wind conference

(OWC) will again be part of OEEC, taking place on 24 and 25 October also

at the Amsterdam RAI, together with speakers from leading companies such as Dong, Siemens and Vattenfall, to further strengthen OEEC’s connection to renewables. During OWC speakers from the industry will discuss how more business opportunities can be found and how the industry can reach potential. More renewable knowledge can be garnered during the Marine Energy event, organised in partnership with EWA, as well as the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) symposium, which is an annual meeting that brings together OTEC industry, researchers and market experts from all over the world. l
