Multi-screw pumps added to portfolio A
n application in media delivery can often be handled by using diff erent pump types. However,
optimum results and material-preserving transport require exact matching of the pump to the diff erent parameters such as viscosity, temperature, NPSH value or shear sensitivity. Therefore Netzsch has supplemented its portfolio of progressing cavity pumps and rotary lobe pumps with three model series of compact screw pumps: the Notos two, three and four-spindle pumps. Depending on the type, they are suitable for lubricating and non-lubricating substances to be transferred at high pressures up to 80 bar and temperatures up to 300°C. They thereby cover a wide range of application areas – from lubricants to sealants and on to bitumen or resins – and thanks to their compact design they fi t into limited spaces, as they are
found often on vessels or tanks. Thanks to special materials, hydraulic compensation and geometry – optimised through FEM simulations – all Notos pumps are designed for top effi ciency and long operating life. The core feature of the screw pumps is what Netzsch refers to as their “high effi ciency unique design” (HEUD), producing a proven force-performance ratio. All Notos pumps are hydraulically compensated: a special compensation
ensures that approximately the same pressure is applied at both sides of the spindle and as a result, the net axial force is practically equal to zero The new series was fi rst presented
at this year’s Achema trade fair and will soon be installed in oilfi elds in Scandinavia and Turkey. ●
