Speakers to reveal all about Poland’s success


LOT has added 13 new routes


cities including Barcelona, Venice, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Yerevan, Zagreb and Belgrade. A further four new routes from Warsaw


to Luxembourg, Ljubljana, Athens and Kharkiv were added on the fi rst two days of March alone, while this number is expected to be doubled by the end of April to Košice in Slovakia, Cluj-Napoca in Romania, Nice and Beirut while increased frequencies elsewhere have also driven passenger numbers. LOT Polish Airlines’ boss will be one of the key speakers addressing the Routes Europe Strategy Summit at a time when the airline is seeing considerable passenger growth. Rafal Milczarski, CEO and president of the management board, will be speaking at the event as the airline reports a 24% increase in passenger numbers in February following a jump of 17% in January. The numbers have been largely driven by 13 new routes, which have attracted passengers in the traditional quite period. In January, the airline introduced a


direct fl ight between Warsaw and Tokyo as well as connections with European


Airport’s president of the board, will give the welcome address at the event; he also takes to the stage at a time of signifi cant growth for his organisation. In 2015 the airport received 4.22 million passengers, up from 3.82 million in 2014. It has received 310,000 and 303,677 in February and January respectively and more than in each month in 2014.
