This February, Southern Manufacturing & Electronics will return to FIVE, Farnborough, where visitors will find over 800 exhibitors taking up 18,000m² of exhibition space


T


aking place from 9th to 11th February at FIVE, Farnborough,


Southern Manufacturing & Electronics will have 18,000m² of exhibition space with an ever-growing range of international exhibitors, together with the extremely wide selection of UK engineering specialists. There will, in fact, be over 800 firms present, representing engineering activities comprising everything from advanced electronics to precision engineering. According to the organiser, the show


will feature a blend of international manufacturers and smaller specialist vendors, ensuring visitors will get to see a wide range of technologies. Due to the size of the event, a certain


amount of pre-planning is advised. To help, the organisers have grouped firms into relevant areas, such as Electronics & Test, Tooling & Product and Subcontracting. There will also be Technology Trails linking vendors involved in specific sectors to assist visitors around the main exhibition areas. Pre-registered visitors receive a free show guide containing full details of the Trails together with exhibiting companies. The show will also feature a free technical seminar programme. Visitors will also get the chance to speak to experts at GT Vision, which was founded by microscopy enthusiasts and provides high quality microscopy & related products; and Hexagon Metrology, a provider of products and services for industrial metrology applications in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy and medical. Another exhibitor of interest is


Metrology Direct. The company supplies measurement and inspection solutions to industry and will be displaying products including the Hommel non-contact ‘Opticline’ shaft measuring system

together with a vision measurement and inspection system from Micro-Vu. Optris, meanwhile, specialises in the


development, production and sales of devices for non-contact infrared temperature measurement. RDP Electronics, manufacturer of transducers and instrumentation measuring displacement, force, pressure and torque, will also be taking a stand this year. is Olympus, the manufacturer of opto- digital products for medicine, science and industry. The company provides a comprehensive range of products. In addition, a number of enclosure


manufacturers will also be displaying their solutions at the show – including Broxton Industries, Hammond Manufacturing, Lincoln Binns, i4innovation (Smartboxx), and Phoenix Mecano Rose & Bopla Enclosures.
