Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Leslie Kinsel, Cotulla, and Natalie C. Koehler, Cranfi lls Gap, to the Texas Farm and Ranch Lands Conservation Council for terms set to expire on Feb. 1, 2021. The council works to conserve Texas’ farms and ranches that provide our state’s critical natural resources. Kinsel, chair of the TSCRA Legislative and Tax Committee, is an attorney and third-generation rancher in La Salle and surround- ing counties. She and her husband manage Kinsel Cat- tle Company, and she is a co-owner of Runnells Peters


Feedyard in Eagle Pass, Bar V Cattle Co. in McLennan County, and Dan Kinsel Ranch Broker LLC. Kinsel is a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, Ameri- can Quarter Horse Association and South Texas Cattle- Women. Kinsel has served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Nueces River Authority. Kinsel attended Texas A&M University, received an economics degree from Texas State University and earned her law degree from the University of Texas. Koehler is a fi fth generation rancher and Bosque Coun- ty Attorney. She is also owner and attorney at Koehler Law Firm, P.C. She and her family raise registered and commercial Brangus cattle. Koehler received her bach- elor’s degree in agriculture development from Texas A&M University. She earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law. Ethan Lane is the executive director of the Public Lands Council (PLC). Lane is originally from Arizona and joins PLC with more than 18 years of experience in natural resource and land use issues. He also serves as executive director of federal lands for the National Cattle- men’s Beef Association.
