PolyolefinAdditives2015 20-22 October 2015, Maritim Hotel, Cologne, Germany
The next AMI international conference on Polyolefi n Additives and compounding will take place from 20th to 22nd October 2015 at the Maritim Hotel in the ancient city of Cologne in Germany. The event begins with a welcome evening reception for all delegates on 20th October alongside a focused exhibition; this is followed by a 2-day technical programme. Noru Tsalic, Senior Vice President of AMI will kick off with an overview of the markets.
Polyolefi ns lead the global commodity plastics markets in applications and diversity of functions. Polyethylene pipes are gaining sector share in construction, agricultural fi lms are transforming the production potential in arid regions, polypropylene packaging is preserving foodstuffs and minimising waste and in automotive manufacturing the use of polyolefi ns as metal replacements is reducing weight. The different properties of polyethylene and polypropylene materials are obtained by careful selection of resin, additives and processing methods. AMI’s Polyolefi n Additives 2015 brings together industry experts to debate the optimal compounds and resins for a wide range of end uses from cables to packaging fi lms. There is a particular focus on stabilisation, which ensures durability and extended performance.
Sustainability is key to the future of the plastics industry and this year there is a paper on the compounding and incorporation of recyclate. European legislation requires that materials are recovered from end of life products including packaging and vehicles, so this is a hot topic.
AMI’s Polyolefi n Additives 2015 is a special networking forum for
polyolefi n compounders and specifi ers, industry experts, researchers and suppliers, to discuss the formulations to optimise the performance and economics of a wide range of applications. It provides a chance to check up on the latest developments and to catch up with your industry contacts in one trip out of the offi ce. Do join us in Cologne in October!
