Profi le: Malion New Materials is a major Chinese masterbatch producer previously operating under the names Shantou Meilian Chemical and later as Guangdong Meilian New Materials Technology. It is one of the largest Chinese producers of white, black, colour and additive masterbatch with three production plants located in Shantou. The latest plant specialises in white masterbatch and was opened in April 2015, taking Malion’s total capacity from 27,000 to 37,000 tonnes/ year. Malion exports to almost 40 countries worldwide.


Product line: Malion specialises in polyolefi n-based white, black, colour and additive masterbatches for extrusion and injection moulding applications in markets such as food, medical and industrial packaging, personal care, and household products. Malion also offers bio-based and biodegradable white masterbatches.


Product strengths: The company is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifi ed and it owns a number of patents as well as several national industry awards. It is a member of the Masterbatch Committee of China’s Dyestuff Industry Association and of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association.
