Intravenous Vitamin Therapy I

t’s that time of the year where the heat in Florida causes dehydration, fatigue and loss of energy. Many people believe taking a sports or energy drink or a multivitamin will be enough—but it isn’t. Fortunately, treatments via IV (intravenous) Infusions are available. Intravenous Vitamin Therapy represents an exciting new paradigm in Regenerative and Metabolic Medicine, allowing you to both prevent and help treat a wide variety of conditions safely and effectively. Some of the specifi c benefi ts patients experience include: increased energy, an overall sense of well-being, improved sports performance, enhanced immune support and stress relief. This IV therapy is so powerful that many patients report many of these benefi ts within hours of receiving the treatment.

What are the Advantages of Intravenous Vitamin Therapy?

Nutrients are delivered directly to cells through the bloodstream. As soon as the infusion starts, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients are quickly circulated and delivered to cells, where they are immediately available for use. It’s like a “direct deposit.” There is no waiting for the nutrients to clear the digestive system and the liver.

There are fewer side effects. Intravenous Vitamin Therapy bypasses the stomach and intestines, there are no upset stomach or intestinal problems like cramps, nausea or diarrhea, which sometimes result from taking high doses of certain vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C and magnesium.

Experience Effective Treatment Outcomes. Research has shown that there are specifi c blood or tissue concentrations of certain nutrients that must be achieved in order for them to be pharmacologically active. Vitamin C is a good example of such a nutrient. Numerous studies show high concentrations of Vitamin C are required in the serum and intracellular fl uid before it can exert its benefi cial effects.

Vitamin C is commonly understood to be an antioxidant. The National Institute of Health has replicated research done at The Center for the Improvement of Human Functioning which shows that very high blood levels of vitamin C can act as a pro- drug that forms hydrogen peroxide at doses lethal to cancer cells. This pro-oxidant effect is best achieved by intravenous administration of Vitamin C. New fi ndings suggest that high oral doses of vitamin C used in conjunction with “redox cyclers” may support and enhance the effect of IVC (intravenous vitamin C) against cancer. Also: IVC allows other chemotherapy agents (such as Avastin) better access to cancer cells within the brain. Although we do not have any outcome studies that demonstrate this directly the premise is plausible. IVC is non-toxic, and Avastin is sometimes used in treating brain tumors such as glioblastoma. In summary, these high concentrations in IVC simply cannot be achieved by taking the nutrients orally. The bulk of vitamins and minerals swallowed in pill or liquid form is excreted, with very little actually absorbed into the bloodstream. Complicating this further is the fact that many patients have conditions that impair their intestinal absorption, i.e. patients on chemotherapy and those who have a leaky gut. Therefore, only intravenous vitamin therapy can directly deliver pharmacologically-effective doses of the required nutrients. Intravenous nutrient therapy is not some trendy health fad. The value of IV vitamin therapy has been shown in clinical trials for a plethora of medical conditions
