APRIL 14-16, MIAMI AEROSPACE MAINTENANCE COMPETITION The Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) will be held in conjunction with MRO Americas 2015 April 14-16 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. AMC is a venue for teams of certificated aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs), aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs) and students enrolled in either FAA, EASA, CASA or equivalently-authorized schools, as well as personnel of any country’s Armed Forces that are involved in the aircraft maintenance and spacecraft maintenance field. Uncertificated aircraft technicians and aircraft engineers employed with a MRO/OEM company are also eligible to compete. The AMC is an opportunity for today’s and tomorrow’s skilled aviation maintenance professionals to test their combined abilities against those of their peers. The AMC is an exciting competition that will help with the constant upgrading of the standards to which today’s skilled aviation maintenance professionals hold themselves. The AMC also provides a stage to highlight the

knowledge, skill and integrity that is the foundation of today’s and tomorrow’s AMTs and AMEs. By providing a stage that showcases these principles of the AMT and AME craft and profession, the AMC will help raise awareness of the training and skill needed for providing safe, airworthy aircraft worldwide. The AMC will consist of 16 scheduled events. Each

event’s criteria will be posted on the AMC Web site as they are finalized. Each team will be given different events to complete at each stage of the competition. Team members will compete at assigned events as each team deems appropriate. Each event will be completed in 15 minutes. At the end of the 15 minutes, competitors who have not finished will be instructed to stop. If a competitor completes their event before the 15 minutes, that competitor may go and assist a fellow team member(s) still engaged in their respective event.
