A brand new port - Banana Coast (Trujillo) – has opened in Honduras, opening up the interior of the country to cruise visitors. A new airport is opening in Copan in December, allowing day trips to the Mayan ruins from Roatan or Trujillo. Thomson Airways is launching direct fl ights from the UK to Costa Rica in November 2015, the only direct fl ight from the UK to Costa Rica. Currently British visitors have to fl y via Madrid or Miami. Thomson has seven hotel options and is also offering three- and four-night adventure tours.
