Pico Genie Portable Projectors: Maximise Your Space D
o you face daily challenges with space inside and outside your classroom? Do you use iPads, tablets, PCs or laptops? If the answer is yes, you should consider a Pico Genie portable LED projector with an inbuilt rechargeable battery which can help turn any space into a work space. This can maximise ALL your indoor and outdoor spaces including corridor walls, staff rooms or special needs areas. Pico Genie projectors allow any wall space to be transformed into a work space, projecting images up to 150”. Simple to use, with instant on/off and no expensive bulbs to replace they are a great return on investment. At Bett this year the Pico Genie projectors became popular in schools for multiple applications, ranging from head teacher meetings to creating artwork, displays, PE, music, gaming as well as a back-up whiteboard projector, to reduce any classroom downtime.
Head Teacher Clare Kelly, Dane Royd Primary School said, “the Pico Genie projectors are so useful for sharing data, digital content or documents like RAISEonline in the Headteacher’s office with the SLT or Governors. They are ideal for projecting content for staff meetings in the comfort of the staff room or for one to one learning spaces / intervention groups. Moreover, displays and sensory environments are now easily created anywhere on a low budget.”

The Clevertouch Plus touchscreen launches Cleverstore at BETT
The curriculum based App store that teachers can trust C
levertouch Plus, the market leading* interactive large-format touchscreen for schools from Sahara, has launched the ‘first of its kind’ educational Android App store called Cleverstore. Cleverstore is available on all Clevertouch Plus touchscreens and is packed full of free educational apps, each of which has been carefully vetted by Clevertouch in partnership with educators. Teachers can easily search and download age and curriculum appropriate Apps for use in the classroom, injecting fun and interactivity into their lessons. Schools have encouraged the use of Apps in the classroom for the last few years but many teachers have reported problems such as content not being relevant, inappropriate adverts, in-app purchases preventing the Apps from being used to their full potential and graphical issues when viewed on large-format screens. Apps are only made available for download on Cleverstore after they have been rigorously tested and analysed to ensure they are safe, relevant and appropriate, giving teachers complete confidence. Cleverstore apps are suitable for both primary and secondary age groups and designed to engage pupils and aid learning across a number of subjects and activities such as maths games, interactive picture books, scientific calculator, story and song creation, logic puzzles, periodic table and much more.
Cleverstore will be launched at the BETT show 21st – 24th January where it is being demonstrated for the very first time – find Clevertouch Plus on stand C410A. *Futuresource Consulting – UK education market
