Cunard celebrates 175th anniversary with new sailings on QM2


Cunard has added new itineraries for 2015 to celebrate the line’s 175th anniversary. The new sailings on flagship liner Queen Mary 2 include two seven- day transatlantic crossings and a 13-night Caribbean itinerary. Angus Struthers, marketing


director for Cunard, said: “Next year will be a very special year for Cunard and we want to ensure our guests are given every opportunity to be a part of our 175th anniversary celebrations. “Adding these sailings means


more passengers, both those well known to us and those who have yet to step aboard for the first time, have the chance to join us for either a classic crossing or a fantastic Caribbean getaway.” The first transatlantic sailing departs Southampton on November 5 and leads in at £1,129 including transfers and the return flight to the UK. The Caribbean sailing departs

City Cruises introduces preferred partner plan to incentivise agents

City Cruises is to introduce a preferred partner scheme to incentivise more agents to book river sailings. The scheme will be tiered and


agents will either be platinum, premium or preferred partners, with greater benefits for agents who make more bookings. Clare Newman, head of sales and marketing for City Cruises, said the scheme would be introduced in the new year and would help incentivise agents. The sightseeing river operator is encouraging agents to give London the same treatment they would any foreign city break. Kyle Haughton, managing


director of City Cruises, said he hoped more agents would see London as a great revenue opportunity, but explained that not enough agents thought about the extra add-ons available, such as a river cruise.

Crystal Cruises adds new themed voyages for 2015 Crystal Cruises will offer two Wine & Food Festival sailings in Asia next year as part of its Experiences of Discovery programme.
