Imperial College London's £200 million Research & Translation Hub


Construction of the flagship research and translation centre on the College's new campus, Imperial West, will begin in September.


On 28 July Imperial completed contracts with real estate and investment firm Voreda to build the Research and Translation Hub in collaboration with construction experts Laing O’Rourke.


On construction in 2016, the £200 million Research and Translation Hub will form the centrepiece of the new Imperial West innovation district in White City. The 48,000 square metre Hub will deliver world- class education, research and translation activities, and foster partnerships with global stakeholders from business, industry, higher education and the NHS.

Intergas Central Asia (ICA), the operator of Kazakhstan’s national natural gas pipeline system, has completed a successful consent solicitation in respect of its outstanding $600 million 6.375% Notes due 2017.


English, U.S. and Kazakhstan legal adviser to ICA:


ICA solicited consents from noteholders to amend certain of the covenants and event of default provisions in an English law trust deed and the terms and conditions of the notes in order to address planned changes in the legal arrangements pursuant to which ICA operates Kazakhstan's national natural gas pipeline system. The successful consent solicitation was commenced on July 28, 2014 and expired on August 15, 2014. The noteholders meeting was held in London on August 19, 2014.


Morgan Lewis served as English, U.S. and Kazakhstan legal adviser to ICA on the consent solicitation.
