Profi le: Epwin was one of the fi rst companies to introduce PVC window frames to the UK. It now operates in three divisions: Window Systems, which makes PVC profi les for windows, doors and curtain walls; Building Products, which supplies fi nished window systems for domestic housing; and Building Components, which manufactures products such as fascias and soffi ts, cladding, trims and cills.


Product lines: Epwin owns many UK brands, including Windowstore, Swish Windows, Profi le 22 and Quay Plastics. In all, it owns more than 30 separate businesses. Its windows include triple-glazed products, and it is a large user of recycled material – saying that it recycles more than half of all the available PVC-U waste in the UK.


Factory locations: The company boasts more than 1.2m sq ft of manufacturing and warehousing facilities in the UK, in locations including Birmingham, Cardiff, Kidderminster, Paignton and Telford. Its production locations include Scunthorpe (Kestrel BCE, which makes cellular building products), Paignton (Total Windows) and Telford (Swish Windows and others).
