EXPERTS NEEDED TO ASSESS NEW MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMME COMMITTEE OPPORTUNITY

THE CHARTERED MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMME (CMP) REQUIRES NEW MEMBERS

The Chartered Membership Programme (CMP) replaces the Experienced Practitioner Assessed Programme (see previous page). The new programme is assessed through a time limited open book exam delivered through a virtual learning environment, Moodle. A new Moderation Committee is to be established and applications for committee roles are sought.

56 The overall aim of the

committee is to set exam questions and monitor the quality of the assessments. The Education Department is seeking expressions of interest for the following roles:

• INDUSTRY ADVISER(S) — Ideally from construction management to provide technical and specialist advice on exam questions

• EXAMINERS — With experience of assessing at level 6 or above.

• INTERNAL VERIFIERS — With experience of assessing or moderating at level 6 or above.

These are paid roles and applicants should be able to work on a self-employed basis. The Open Book Exam is held

in June and November and covers the four modules of the CMP: construction technology; management; health, safety and environment; and contracts and commercial practice. A standardisation meeting

for all examiners and verifiers is held yearly.

To apply for any of the roles, contact Mandy Mills at mmills@ciob.org.uk
