Mr Paul Riordan-Eva is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Neuro-Ophthalmologist based at King's College Hospital, London, which is the Regional Neurosciences Centre as well as a large teaching hospital. He specialises in adult ophthalmology, particularly neuro-ophthalmology (visual problems related to optic nerve, neurological or neurosurgical disease). He has authored over 50 journal articles and 60 book chapters on ophthalmological and neuro-ophthalmological topics, and is the senior title page editor of a regularly revised textbook of ophthalmology that is currently published in English and 5 other languages.

Mr Riordan-Eva has expert witness experience in clinical negligence and personal injury cases since 1995, but predominantly clinical negligence work since 2011, as well as a GMC case. Reports written for over 150 clinical negligence and 200 personal injury cases, split 6:10:1 between Claimant, Defendant and Joint instruction.

Mr Riordan-Eva is a member of the Board of Management and various committees of the MDU.

Examination of Claimants generally within 8 weeks of receipt of instructions. Reports generally submitted within 4 weeks of examination or within 6 weeks of receiving all the relevant case papers if no examination required. Shorter times can be agreed under exceptional circumstances.
