ntroducing the new tool CARRIDA, embedded imaging expert Vision Components presents a high- performance, hardware-independent OEM software designed for integration into a wide range of surveillance systems. With a typical processing time of 30 ms and a recognition accuracy of more than 96%, the new ALPR/ANPR library (Automatic License Plate / Automatic Number Plate Reader) is very fast and precise. It reliably identifies even dirty, damaged or skewed license plates. The software can be used throughout the world, and country codes on license plates are recognized with more than 90% accuracy. Two-line vehicle plates are also recognized without any problem. Suboptimal or changing lighting conditions do not affect operation. CARRIDA is suitable for use with Windows- or Linux-based mobile or embedded systems and reads all common still image and video formats. The tool automatically recognizes all plates displayed in one image. Typical applications include access control, toll and speed control,
traffic Borland analysis, Delphi, and Python, or management
of transport fleets. An API enables integration into applications via the programming languages C/C++, .NET,
C#.

New FSC-1114 fuse blown indicating module
T
he new FSC-1114 fuse blown indicating module, designed to distribute a supply voltage, is a DIN rail mounting module, that has 10 common indicating fuse blown outputs. Each fused channel can handle up to 7.5A, with a maximum of
40A max for the
module. In the event of a fuse being blown a relay is energized and the volt free contacts can be used to signal the problem to the SCADA system or raise
a local alarm. The Daito blown fuse gives an indication that it is open circuit, individual Channel fuses purchased separately can be 1A, 1.6A, 2A, 3.2A, 5A or 7.5A. The module can be purchased for use with 110Vac or 12, 24, 48, 110 and 120Vdc power distribution The FSC1114 joins a range of other Colter Products SCADA friendly products signaling fuse status. Relays are exposed to mechanical stress. The contacts wear with each switching operation, in the long run they will wear off. They have to be replaced, before they stop switch completely. This is a complicated job with conventional relays. Often there are dozens or even hundreds of such components installed in a cabinet, placed side by side. Considering the limited space in a cabinet, disconnecting the wires, exchanging the relay modules and reconnecting the wires requires considerable installation time. With the relay MIRO 6.2 pluggable, Murrelektronik offers an easier solution! MIRO 6.2 features a snap-in and ejection mechanism that connects the relay module to the socket. If a relay module has to be replaced - either because the maximum number of mating cycles was reached or because of the maintenance schedule - it can simply be ejected and a new relay module can be snapped in. Wiring is no longer required and the replacement time is considerably reduced, which is a real cost benefit!
