RAPID RESPONSE TEAM Special Support to Prevent Emergencies
Bon Secours is committed to bringing compassion to healthcare and to be good help to those in need. Our Rapid Response Team partners with patients and their families to provide the highest quality care when a patient becomes sicker or when a patient or family member feels they need additional help before a potential medical emergency.
Our specially trained team members are ready to help in these situations. If you have any questions, please discuss them with a member of your care team.
WHEN a Family Member or Staff Should Call Rapid Response
Call for help when any of the following conditions are present when staff or nursing on the unit is not in the room:

changes in heart rate or drop in blood pressure
change in respiratory (breathing) rate or oxygen levels
n n
changes in urine output (much more or less urine)
change in mental status or level of consciousness
n n
any time you are worried something might be wrong
any change in the patient’s condition that needs immediate attention and the healthcare team is not responding, or if you continue to have serious concerns after speaking with the healthcare team
HOW to Call Rapid Response Step 1: Dial 5555 on bedside phone.
Step 2: Tell the operator your name, room number, patient’s name and your concern.
Step 3: The Rapid Response Team will be sent to your room.
