BedsideRx Program Filling prescriptions after a hospital stay can be a challenge. Let the Good Health pharmacy at St. Mary’s Hospital take the hassle out of getting your prescriptions filled.
If you choose to use the BedsideRx service, a pharmacy staff member will deliver your medications to your bedside, and a pharmacist will counsel you on them prior to discharge. For more information, please call the pharmacy at 804-281-8425.
Cafeteria Location: Main floor Hours: Daily 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All visitors are welcome to dine in the cafeteria.
Calling Your Nurse Your room is connected to the nursing station. To call for your nurse, press the NURSE call bell. If you have any questions on how to use the call bell, ask a staff member to show you.
Fire Safety We periodically conduct fire drills. If you hear an alarm, stay where you are. In an actual emergency, hospital staff will tell you what to do.
Flowers Flowers are delivered to patient rooms by our hospital volunteers. Please note that flowers are not allowed in Intensive Care Units. No latex balloons are allowed in the hospital.
Gift Shop The St. Mary’s Gift Shop, located on the main floor, offers gift items, jewelry, newspapers, magazines, paperback books, greeting cards, candy, toiletries, flowers and plants.
Hours: Mon. to Fri.: 9:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Sat. to Sun.: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Proceeds are donated back to the hospital to assist the needs

of patients who cannot afford their care. Cash, check and credit cards accepted.
Hospitalists Hospitalists work in the hospital and can see patients more than once a day. Hospitalists know every department and the specialists in the hospital. Hospitalists ensure a smooth and speedy recovery by checking on test results, providing personal service and adjusting treatment regimens as needed. They manage all aspects of your care including consultations with specialists, scheduling tests, ordering medications and performing procedures.
Hospitalists are easily accessible to patients and families and can answer important health questions. Because they are available 24 hours a day, they have time to talk with you and your family and communicate clearly and completely.
