DOUBLING UP: The United States is holding separate World Team Trials in Greco-Roman and freestyle this year for the first time since 1999. It could lead to some interesting and compelling matchups in Madison and Daytona Beach.
2014 U.S. OPEN: An entertaining and exciting evening of wrestling produced 24 champions - eight in freestyle, eight in women’s freestyle and eight in Greco-Roman - at the Las Vegas Convention Center on April 19 in Las Vegas.
AN INSTANT CLASSIC: Relive the epic Jordan Burroughs-David Taylor U.S. Open finals freestyle match with a full recap of their incredible six-minute bout. Burroughs rallied for a dramatic 7-6 victory in the finals bout at 74 kg/163 lbs.
CATALINE’S COMEBACK: Once considered the No. 1 women’s freestyle wrestling prospect in the country, Jackie Cataline returned to the mat after a five-year absence to win a U.S. Open title on April 19 in Las Vegas.
