Wonderland hair and beauty salon, located in Livingstone, near Edinburgh, celebrated its first birthday recently with a day-long Mad Hatter’sTea Party.


Clients were offered a trip through the salon’s looking glass to choose fromamenu of complimentary services including head and handmassages, trend-focused up-dos andmake-up finishes, and helped themselves fromtables laden with ‘eatme’ and ‘drinkme’ treats.


The salon is led by stylists Sophie Laidlaw and LiamWickhamand beauty specialist Saraid-Jane Newton, offering treatments including Lash Perfect lash enhancements, CND Shellac, Fake Bake, Dermalogica facials and Pulsar IPL hair removal.

Wax event expands


Following the success of last year’s inauguralWax Show, the UK’s only education event dedicated to the art of hair removal has evolved to become the Hair Removal Expo and will take place on 16th November at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham.


Beauty business expert GillMorris has joined forces with show founders and wax-addicts,Mat O'Marah andAndy Rouillard, and the show has expanded the range of treatments showcased to include all forms of temporary and permanent de-fuzzing.


The new format will have three education streams, focusing onmarketing, practical skills and allied services to help therapists,managers and salon owners grow their business.

Cancer patients who have undergone mastectomy surgery are receiving Areola restoration froma beauty therapist and skin specialist in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.


CaronVetter has developed a 3D nipple tattooing procedure, drawing on her 35 years’ experience working in the industry. She now offers the treatment at theWhitethorn Fields MediClinic and Belmore Centre in StokeMandeville, with clients travelling fromacross the UK.


The procedure involves creating or colouring the areola using amedical tattooing procedure which can also help to cover any scar tissue, improving the overall appearance of the breast.


Caron Vetter has developed a 3Dnipple tattooing procedure, drawing on her 35 years’ experienceworking in the industry.


With breast cancer being amongst one of themost commonly diagnosed cancers for women in Britain, Caron’s expertise has never been so vital. She is dedicated to doing what she can to help women in the aftermath of breast cancer.


“The procedure is literally transforming lives. It is remarkable how far the technology has come and I feel it ismy duty to sharemy experience on so that asmany women as possible can regain their self-esteem, and feel happy to look in the mirror once again,” Caron told GN.

Salon director Sophie told GN: “We wanted tomark our first year by saying thanks to all our clients who’ve helped us along the way, treating themand their friends to a tea party and pampering session to show off some of the things we do. It was a pretty crazy day but the atmosphere was incredible.”
