The Thompson 1911TC is a .45-caliber 1911 pistol with custom features usually found on higher priced pistols.
It took a bit of getting used to because the tag button identi-
fi es the target to the scope’s computer. Shooter-induced move- ment of the weapon does not allow the shot to be fi red until the rifl e is on target. Although the trigger had been pulled, the rifl e does not fi re until the target can be hit. The .338 Lapua round hit on my fi rst shot at 960 yards. Impressive. In addition, everything seen through the scope can be mon- itored on a computer, tablet or smartphone at a command center in real time.
While the test Tracking Point rifl e was a bolt action, there is also an AR version debuting in 2014 as well.
