ITI COMP Pistol Courses

SUMMARY


G4S International Training Incorporated (G4S ITI) offers Competition Pistol I and II courses with an emphasis on pistol training for competition. However, law enforcement can gain tremendous knowledge and skill that translates to street use for surviving an armed encounter.

A career in law enforcement means keeping up with technology, changing laws/ regulations, the newest criminal trends, and being familiar with new equipment and how to operate your tools. An offi cer’s greatest actual tool is his/her fi rearm.


T It is easy to improve our knowledge and to


keep current on the educational and techni- cal aspects of the job; we sit through a class or read the latest updates. When our agency gets new equipment, we have blocks of instruc- tion on the use, policies and deployment of the new gear. To practice our ground fi ghting and self-defense skills, we can make use of the agency training facility and a partner. Staying current and profi cient with our

fi rearms is an entirely diff erent matter. For many in law enforcement, yearly “training” is limited to our department’s qualifi cations. While this may cover us legally, you need to have more than the minimum required training with your fi rearms to prevail in a shooting. Many of the folks in law enforce- ment consider qualifi cation and the once-in- a-blue-moon trip to the square range to shoot a box of ammunition as actual training. T e
