Bandai Namco is pushing Codemasters’ latest racing title digitally with online ads and video advertising across specialist gaming and car websites, as well as general lifestyle portals. These include IGN, PSN, Fast Car, Autosport, YouTube and a number of Future’s sites including CVG, GamesRadar and PC Gamer. This is in addition to a push over


Facebook and talking with the racing community through Grid’s own social channels. The title will also be promoted with a higher position in Google seaches. Bandai Namco is also teaming with in-game sponsors to push the title.


Full page ads will be appearing in specialist gaming magazines such as the Offi cial publications for PlayStation and Xbox, as well as GamesMaster.


Bandai Namco also says that it has a ‘far-reaching’ PR campaign throughout the specialist and mainstream media.


IN-STORE


Bandi Namco has plans to market the racing game in-store with branded chart placements, targeted mailers, security gate wraps, end of aisle stands and shelf signs.

Grid Autosport has been inspired by Codemasters’


core fans and driven by community feedback. It is defi ned and highly anticipated by their core racing community – it is the game the fans want. Codemasters has listened and acted upon feedback from previous Grid games and made a more focused motorsport title that recaptures the feel of some of its earlier much-loved products. Autosport is the most complete Grid game yet. The mantra from the franchise’s inception has been ‘it’s all about the race’. While the team has added new features, ways to race and content, it hasn’t lost that focus on what makes a Grid game such a hit with fans.
