ICHAEL BARR, FORMER BROWN COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF, HAS JOINED THE TEXAS and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) as a special ranger for District 18. Barr replaces Ronnie Hunt.


District 18 includes Brewster, Culberson, El Paso, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis,


Pecos, Presidio and Reeves counties. “Mike is an experienced law enforcement agent and is well-known by the


ranching community in the area,” said Larry Gray, TSCRA executive director of law enforcement and theft prevention. “Barr’s law enforcement experience and his love for the ranching industry


make him a great asset to our organization. We welcome him to TSCRA and look forward to working with him.” Barr has 15 years of law enforcement experience. He served as a reserve


deputy sheriff for Brown County, where he investigated livestock crimes. Barr is based in Fort Davis and can be reached at 432-426-3106.
