ONLINE Search for Casting Suppliers Online
The American Foundry Society (AFS) has launched a revamped searchable online metalcaster directory (
www.afsinc.org/ metalcasterdirectory) featuring an integrated process selector for purchasing agents looking for North American sources for cast components. Users can use the Metalcaster Directory to narrow their search by metal type, casting process and geographic region. As part of the new tool, users can input part data such as weight,
volume and type of metal for help in determining which type of casting process is best suited to their needs. The tool also is linked to a casting alloy database that provides property information for various casting alloys. The new Metalcaster Directory
is the latest method available to search for and identify potential new casting sources. Full listings in the directory include address, company website, processes used, metals poured and the ability to submit a request for quote.
